CHARACTER NAME: Dietrich Blau Age: 18 Gender: Male Affiliation: Student Race: Human Aura Color: Blue Semblance: Body Armor. Dietrich's semblance is a form of aura control that hardens his aura around his body, forming a protective layer between himself and enemy attacks. This ability can only be sustained for two minutes at a time before it starts to drain Dietrich physically. Additionally, if the aura shield reaches a certain threshold of cumulative damage, it discharges and knocks back bodies and objects around him. Weapon: Grimmsbeil. A 5 1/2 foot long single-edged greatsword with a blade width of 10 inches across, and 1 1/2 inches thick. At will, he can switch it to its rocket launcher form, which swings the blade over his shoulder on a hinge, with the hilt acting as the grip. It fires 1 1/4 inch wide customizable dust rockets, and can hold a maximum load of 5 stacked vertically. He uses wide horizontal and vertical slashes to advance to advance against his opponents and gain ground rapidly while constantly repositioning the grip on his weapon. When he can, he opens a fight with a salvo of rockets, or pushes particularly hard targets away with brute force so he can fire rockets into them. Additional weapons and armor: He also carries a sidesword named "Erika", whose total blade length is 18 inches. It also folds into a pistol that can fire a variety of dust rounds. Appearance: Hair color: Blue, shoulder length, Eye color: Pale Blue, Skin: Fair, Caucasian, Height: 6'5", Build: Brawny,  Clothes: Beacon School Uniform (Male), Casual, Party Casual: Black combat boots, Urban camouflage cargo pants with grey belt around the waist, Brown outer belt around waist with brown sheath on the left hip for Erika and four pistol magazine pouches on the right hip containing four dust magazines (fire, lightening, ice, and steam) connected to brown Grimmsbeil sheath belt that's over the right shoulder and across the  chest, Navy blue t-shirt, Field grey cap on his head.  In colder weather, wears winter camouflage parka. Party: Brown dress shoes, Black dress pants with brown belt, Red collard button up dress shirt with sleeves rolled up passed the elbows, Brown belt around waist with Erika sheath on left hip and magazine pouches on right.  Personality: Dietrich is a kind young man who always surrounds himself with the people he loves.  He relishes the quality time and comradery of friends and family, it's no wonder they call him "the Friendly Face" of the group.  Due to his friendliness Dietrich makes wise cracks from time to time, usually when he wants to be funny, however that mood is replaced when the situation becomes dire.  Dietrich is funny when he wants to be and serious when he needs to be. In battle, Dietrich keeps his eyes open for any of his teammates who need assistance.  On the road he offers a hand to those in need, whether it's helping an old lady the street or ridding a village of a Grimm infestation.  However this selflessness can be fatal as he feels helpless if there is nothing he or his team can do to help in anyway.  Dietrich is also a bit hot headed whenever his team pokes fun at him or he is reminded of a mistake he made. History: Born to a middle class family in Vale, Dietrich Blau grew up as any normal boy would: loving mom and dad, two dogs and cat.  Since he was five, Dietrich had a passion for the art of sword fighting from watching his father practice his skills.  At the age if eight, his father finally agreed to teach his son, unfortunately the only sword he could use was too big for the boy.  Dietrich did not let that hinder him and spent months trying to lift his training sword, successfully doing so by his ninth birthday.  For years Dietrich trained with a sword as big as he was until he was able to wield it with one hand.  After his father felt he had taught his son everything he knew, Dietrich applied for Signal Academy to improve his skills where he would craft his signature weapons: Grimmsbeil and Erika.  During his second year he was held back due to a fight breaking out between a dog faunus kid and an upper classman, resulting Dietrich to be held back for a year.  He didn't care just as long the poor kid was safe and the bully got what he deserved.   OOC Name: Mr. Man Face Claim(optional):  Voice Canon(optional): (IRL Person: Character they played)
