CHARACTER NAME: Aries Age: 18 Gender: Male Affiliation: Student Race: Faunas (Ram) Aura Color: Warm, and energetic orange like a volcano’s lava. Semblance: Push: Aries increases his knock back potential three times that of the base force he puts out. The ability offers Aries many advantages such as being able to add some power to his strikes making him formidable with close ranged combat. Along with his strikes he is able to boost his speed by propelling himself from the ground with a greater force as well making him cover distances much faster than he normally would be able to. With Push Aries could be considered a power house off his semblance alone however there are some drawbacks that go along with using push mainly being that his semblance works off of force such as movement but this applies to any kind meaning so long as Aries keeps his aura up any move he makes puts more strain on his muscles then normal making him very susceptible to muscle spraining, or pull a muscle as well as even tearing. With this being known to him Aries must be careful to rest up when he can otherwise the continuous strain may harm his body with Push’s use Weapon: (Gale Force Drivers. Gale Force Drivers- A set of turbines turned bracers for his shins and forearms which use wind dust to create strong and heavy gust of wind and vacuums upon activation. With these bracers Aries is able to fight at a range as well as closing a gap between him and a target easier than ever. With the Drivers Aries resorts juggling his opponents by knocking them back with his own semblance and reeling them in with the Drivers vacuum pull. The rotary action for each Driver is the prime source of wind generation though without the dust they lose range drastically as their normal pull range is 5feet without dust but with the application of wind based dust they can reach up to 20feet and are capable of dragging a car towards it’s user at full force however the car remained grounded when this was tested. This means the suction of these drivers is capable of lifting at least an Ursa from off his feet. Additional weapons and armor: With all the grace of a dog in socks Aries uses a hover board to help him get around the field faster though it’s primary use is a deflective shield. The board uses wind and propellant dust to hover as well as turn most direct contact into glancing blows this makes up for his lack of ranged defense and can stop most projectile ammunition however after a few heavy connecting hits the board may conk out on him and become just a slab of metal still used for shield but much less effective. Appearance: Aries stands around 5 ft "7"and isn't too happy proud about it, with stocky broad shoulders for his size Aries is on the muscular side even though his clothing takes away from that. He has Hazel eyes and Black long nappy hair (like a sheep’s) afro. Hiding under his nappy fro Aries has a pair of heavy brown horns the curl inward just above his ears, they stand about 4 inches from his skull and 5 inches width wise from the base. Aries also has a dark skin tone due to his family’s descent (He’s black). Aries often times seen sporting an overly large white hoodie complete with a kangaroo pouch pocket. Underneath the hoodie is a red long sleeved form fitting Kevlar body armor, along with a pair of matching high top canvas like shoes. As for pants Aries daunts a pair of loose shin high capris. Personality: Aries is a very friendly and caring person often sparking interest in people who seem to quite but only because he likes to invoke the more friendly side in people as well. He enjoys being near people even when he gets a little cranky (often over small things like being called short.) Aries can be a tad competitive and sometimes a sore loser (if you can get him to admit his losses.) Being this friendly he will often be around people even though he might not know the others well. Besides that Aries will over exaggerate incidents with "little" details being altered on a frequent basis. Beyond being friendly and warm to people he has a tendency to want recharge sessions with those he is close with simply being in the room with someone he trust while he naps off his tiredness brings him a much appreciated sense of want. Being the extrovert that he is quite a few people from his past have questioned why someone with so much energy would need down time so often but he usually shrugs it off with a bland “I get tired too.” . Aries is often very straightforward with problem solving seeking out the simplest answer at all times, he doesn’t see much need in beading around the bush but is capable of being gentle with people’s emotions as he has strong empathetic emotions and can understand most people’s emotions. This is a major reason why he is so friendly as he hates to see anyone down in the dumps. History: Aries had been brought into the world of Vytal on a rainy spring day April 3to be exact. Fortunately enough his parents Clover and Virgo had been settling in a newly developing town just on the outskirts Vale. Born into a humble yet master family of blacksmiths Aries was raised to work hard and honestly for his earnings along with everything else. Though it took him some years to get used to the concept of hard work and labor but eventually he understood this was how his family’s trade was done. Virgo realized his son’s energy and stubbornness as potential to be great in anything he attempted. Though that being said Virgo also realized Aries was extremely lazy when it came to anything else. Virgo knew this was Aries greatest weakness and decided that putting him to do errands for the workshop would help him out. Now a twelve year old Aries having seen hunters constantly boasted about and advertised on televisions and billboards made him crave to become a hunter himself. All the while his father and mother humbly ran their family’s blacksmith workshop. This stumped Aries in the sense that many times he would see a hunter or two waltzes into the shop and request their weapons be repaired or built from scratch completely. He wondered how come his family wasn’t advertising to the whole world that he maintained and created some of the most famous hunters gear. Feeling his family horribly hid their skill he decided to take things into his own hands. Bringing in a cardboard sign with him around town Aries begin telling the whole town how amazing his family’s crafts had been and how they supply some of the most popular hunters with the weapons they use, of course with word being spread their family’s workshop began getting more customers. To Aries this was a great improvement but with more people came many more problems, from unruly customers to attempted break-ins and his parents grew tiresome of the unwanted attention. Reaching his limit with work and people’s poor attitude Virgo closed the shop for a day and confronted his son about the shameless self-promotion. Aries’s father scolded him about the effort they put into each weapon and the time it took to gather everything they needed to create each and every customers desired weapon. This left Aries slightly awe-struck at how much work he’d place on his parent’s shoulders, having finally seen this Aries decided he’d work harder to help out his family and began putting more time into the workshop thus learning more than most others about the construction of weapon’s and the material’s used to create them. Now skipping few years ahead to a 15year old Aries having been inducted into Signal thanks to his saving from younger and a ‘little’ donation from family he was prepared to go full lengths to realize his dream of being a great hunter. His laziness aside he began striding to the top of his class in athletics, and combat, and though he wasn’t the strongest in academics he was far from stupid maintaining a B average throughout his time there Aries was an exceptional student at least grade wise. Having been one of the stronger students combat wise Aries was always looking for a challenge. Picking fights with bully’s, jocks and other students, once he even challenged a teacher to spar with him which may have been a pretty bad mistake seeing as he was only a second year at signal when he issued the challenge. Losing that fight to the teacher didn’t deter him one bit in fact it seemed to have drove him further. During this time one teacher named Otto Adams a rare breed of fauna as well being an owl fauns, had been keeping a close eye on Aries noticing that Aries had two weaknesses. The first being Aries had nearly no stamina to keep a fight going all of his fights had been won based on him simply being able to rush his opponent effectively. This could easily be stopped by someone with enough focus and skill could just stand their ground till he tires out. The second weakness was him being unable to use his Aura. This hindered Aries from being able to use his full potential, his adaptability during combat combined with whatever hidden power within him could give an extraordinary push in which he could use to his advantage. Once Otto realized the potential that the boy held, he took the boy under his wing. (Bird puns) Aries began meditating with Otto as part of his training of course with his lack of patience he found this was extremely boring and slow process and within two days Aries began to doubt how the owl was helping him train. Otto grew annoyed at with the complaints and decided to explain what they were exactly training to enhance. Up until this point Aries knew the bare minimum of what Aura was and that every living thing except the creatures of Grimm had one. Otto explained to Aries how training one’s Aura can enhance a person’s ability in combat and each person who trains this have certain abilities triggered by such called a semblance. Aries still being skeptical challenged the teacher to a spar to show Aries his own ability. Otto obliged and requested that Aries attempt to attack him while he remained blind folded and see if he can land a blow. Accepting this challenge with a prideful scoff Aries found himself at a loss when his teacher evaded and countered each of his attacks with such ease taking a breather Aries finally came to realize how Otto seemed to be glowing after questioning the owl Aries realized that Otto’s semblance was echolocation allowing him a great deal of knowledge during a battle even without his sight. Finally convinced Aries continued to meditate and train with Otto building up his own aura to the point where he could manifest it and use it to increase his attacks power. Aries impressed with his improvements after a month and was nearing his completion of his schooling at Signal. On the day of his graduation he was of course congratulated and praised by his parents, teachers and, friends but this same day Otto finally released Aries’s full potential doing the ritual to unlock the graduates’ semblance. Now all riled up and just about ready to ship off to Vale, Aries had completely forgotten about the summer break students get and was only reminded by his father and mother dragging him back home for one last summer at the workshop. Now Aries has been living in his home town for 17 years now and though he and his family haven’t moved they were never fans of the locals and their Ideals, this includes the town near collective hate towards fauna due to the large amounts of veterans which helped start the town. Now Aries was a constant defender of racial discrimination and bullying in general, he’d always come home with bruises or scars even and his parents would often tell him he should at least try and get into less fights but Aries never led on to what they were for or why exactly he gotten into them so frequently but he knew they’d be proud of what he was doing. Throughout his signal life Aries had been defending those who were picked on and weak because there was a point he felt weaker than others thanks to his height. Now during that time he’d made a few friends but one stuck with him for the longest time was a sheepish ram named Cotton, his best friend for 5 years. Aries and Cotton have done allot together whether it be get beaten up or rescue one another from getting in trouble they constantly had each other’s back. Now Cotton had been one of the very few fauna of the town and even fewer who refuse to hide their race, having small horns which poke out of his curly hair Cotton was almost always a target for discrimination and he expected it he knew what he had to endure to represent fauna and he was willing to live out his life as best an example he could. One summer day while Aries had been out running errands for his father when Cotton happened to run into his friends work shop bloodied and bruised he asked if he could hide there for a short while until the group of teens got bored and left. Virgo being Aries’s dad allowed Cotton to take shelter within his store though he had grown tired of seeing this and stepped out to confront the teens and ward them off, this led to Virgo being hospitalized and branded as a supporter of the fauns’ supposed take over. Aries being hot headed and the defender that he was went out in search for those who put his father in the hospital in the first place only to come back with even worse news of his father’s health having taken damage to his head Virgo slipped into a coma and died two nights later from a concussion leaving Aries enraged. The hot blooded Aries rampaged throughout the town in search of those who attacked his father and Cotton only to be halted by both his mother and best friend being there for him. After that summer Aries was pushed to continue his goal of becoming a hunter to protect those who cannot protect themselves with his father in mind of a strong man Aries takes his goal to Beacon in hopes to reach the strength needed to uphold it.
