Character Questions
Q: Can my character have power armor or some other variety of super suit?
A: No. This is because the world of Remnant does not see the value in such armor. Aura provides all the protection and strength that any variety of power armor could. Beyond that, power armor would just be like regular metal armor.
Q: Can my character be an early bloomer like Ruby?
A: Sort of. We want to have a limit of younger characters enrolled in Beacon because there are very few exceptions to the age limits. If you were to have a younger character, they would need to act their age and expect to get a certain amount of criticism for it from other students.
Q: Can my Semblance be similar to an existing character's?
A: Yes. Check with a staff member to make sure there's not too many of the same idea or that the Semblance isn't overpowered in any way. Do try and be creative by giving it some kind of new spin, though.
Q: Can animal characters speak?
A: Not to people. Animal characters may, however, have diologue with other animal characters. To the observer, it would only appear as body language and/or growling, barking, squawking, etc. Animal characters cannot, however, speak to the Creatures of Grimm. This is because of their innate hatred for life that they refuse to communicate. Whether or not they are actually capable of it is unknown.
Q: Can my Faunus character have wings?
A: No. While superhuman agility and jumping ability are well observed and documented in the RWBY universe, the ability to actually fly would be far too unbalanced.
Q: Can there be Grimm Faunus?
A: No. This is due to the simple fact that Grimm are the antithesis of life, and something bearing a Aura would never be able to take on the traits of one.
Lore Questions
Q: Are the Seasonal Maidens going to be made characters in the From Shadows canon?
A: No. There are currently no plans to make any Maiden characters nor give the Maiden status to any members. This would create an imbalance and give the character too much power.
Q: Can I make my own Grimm types to fight in threads?
A: Absolutely. Run it by a staff member first, though. We want to make sure our ideas are all centralized and well thought-out before we actually include them in our canon.
Q: Are "Silver-Eyed Warriors" going to be made From Shadows canon?
A: As of right now, no. Due to the unclear nature of the subject(and without wishing to spoil for those who aren't there yet), the "Silver-Eyed Warrior" theory will be considered conjecture and therefor not canon. It will be taken into consideration if it proves to be RWBY canon.

A: Simply paste the link to the desired image in the box next to your name.
