The Story So Far
The world of Remnant is enjoying a time of unprecedented peace. To the casual observer, there is cultural appropriation, acceptance, and cooperation. Under the surface, however, to those privvy, this peace is very fragile, and balances on a knife's edge. It is something that could be disturbed at the drop of a hat, plunging the world into a cataclysmic war. The leaders of the world understand this, and work very hard to keep the precedent of peace as the status quo, hoping to strengthen the bonds between countries in order to make the peace long-lasting and, hopefully, permanent. Only when banded together do the peoples of Remnant stand any chance against the constant threat of the Creatures of Grimm.
Meanwhile, the White Fang's former leaders who led peaceful protests have either all been assassinated or stepped down. New leaders have taken their place, and the White Fange has been leading militaristic and aggressive attacks against government agancies and companies with questionable ethics reguarding Faunus labor. They have gone from being a symbol of hope for Faunus to a terrorist group that fights with almost xealot-like fervor. While Faunus are generally accepted in society now, it was not always so, and most feel that the "might makes right" attitude of the new White Fang is the correct way to make progress in the area of Faunus rights.
The White Fang have been planning something, and it isn't good. They've been gathering massive amounts of Dust and military hardware, and it is unclear who exactly is leading them or why they are making these preparations. A storm is brewing, and the peace that Remnant has been enjoying for so long may lie in the balance.
