CHARACTER NAME: Roja Hayasa Age: 17 Gender: male Affiliation: Student Race: Human Aura Color: red Semblance: Berserker mode: When activate red's eyes turn blood red lie Grimm and his hair turns white along with pale skin. Sharp claws also replaces his fingers and he grows sharp fangs. His semblance over gives him a dramatic boost to his strength, speed, and durability while sealing off his nervous system making him unable to feel pain and it's normal inhibitions although he can still get his bones broken and such. While Berserker mode is activated he basically gives into his rage and inner monster and loses all sense of morality and restraint. This causes him to violently attack anyone around him until he is incapacitated with extreme measures and often doesn't remember what happens during the time period his semblance is activated. This is why he doesn't activate his semblance unless in extreme situations. This also takes up a lot of stamina and can suffer from exhaustion faster then normally does. Weapon: link Grimm Slayer Roja wields a enormous sword that was given to him after the passing of his mentor Shuji. This sword was passed down from generation to generation in Shuji's family and now it is with him. From tip to handle, it is approximately six feet long, with a single-edged large blade approximately one foot wide. The blade is a lighter color on the bladed edge, while the rest of the blade is dark gray, and the handguard appears to be bolted or riveted into place. There are two holes near the handguard. He wrapped the blade in a red bandage The sword was made to slay powerful grimm and was laughed off as impossible to use due to its size. This was proven wrong of course. Red is able to hold it thanks to his nearly inhuman strength and can swing it rather easy. This sword is used for powerful slashes and strikes and can cut through many Grimm. Inexperience users of the blade often have trouble defending from speed strikes. But after intense training Red has gotten over this weakness and can swing his sword very fast. Additional weapons and armor: He has two knifes. One in each of his steel toe boots His is currently working on a new kind of sword for himself is his main one ever gets lost/broken/stole etc. Appearance: Red is a little on the short side standing at 5'2 and weights 130 pounds. He has fair white skin and has a good body build from his life of training. He has short black hair that can grow out to reach pass his back. But he likes to keep it cut short. He has ruby red eyes and despite the look of his small frame he is very strong and durable. He has a glare that is regularly is normal look and because of it is why people think he is angery most of the time. His expression is normally hard to read. Clothing: Red is also seen wearing a pair of baggy black pants with black combat boots. He had a black sleeveless shirt to go as well. Red is often seen with a large and long red scarf that is seen around his neck with the ends hanging down. Another weird accessory is the red and pinkish ribbon that is normally seen on a girl's head is tied to his arm. Alternate clothing: Red switched between a series of clothing. But he is mostly seen wearing two different sets of clothes. His first is a white hat that most people think is his normal hair with a short sleeve red and black jacket. With this he wears blue jeans and red shoes. The second is a button-up white shirt kept partially buttoned with a plain gray hoodie and a black leather jacket with a red tribal design on the back. Personality: Roja is shown to be a quiet and semi-anti social person. He takes pride and value in the little things in life like flowers and a beautiful night sky. Most people don't seen the damage that is hidden underneath the cold loner type of persona he plays. The reality is that he is a very lonely person. Roja is seen as creepy or weird by most of his classmates thanks to his actions and the way he dresses considering the ribbon he wears on his arm. Another thing to take note is that he mentions things his mom liked and didn't like from what he learned from his aunt despite her being dead. History: Roja Hayasa was born in the kingdom of Vale on the hottest day of the summer. He was suppost to be a twin to a baby girl, but as she was being delivered the doctor accidently held his gloved hand over her face and died from the lack of air. His mom was already weak from delivering one baby, but it was Roja that took everything she had. After Roja, she couldn't hold on anymore and died there on the hospital bed. The fact she died was actually expected from her. She was always weak from day one and even had health problems frequently. So it only came to a surprise to her husband. From that day forward it was just him and Roja. Shortly after his wife became pregnant he got a steady job to help her since he left the Atlas army before they moved to Vale. He lost that job thanks to his drinking problems and found himself not being able to keep a job for too long. Roja found himself being trained in combat by his father for a bit only so that others won't call him out for having a weak son. During one of his drunk episodes, Roja killed his father in self defense with a small knife that was hidden in his pocket as he was prepared for him. Roja would be give to his aunt after the whole thing. His aunt was the environment that Roja needed. She owned a flower shop that Roja spend alots of time in after finding out that his mom loves flowers mostly red roses. However the damage that was done took a toll on Roja and no one seemed to be able to help him. That was until he came across a dust and weapons shop owned by a old man named Shuji. One look at Roja and Shuji instantly knew the kind of person Roja was and what he had been through. Shuji asked how he was doing in Signal and got the answer that he never got before. "Not good." Shuji usually got answers that made people out to be over confident in their abilites, but Roja was a different story. Out of curiosity, Shuji asked for a sparring match which Roja agreed to hesitantly. Roja lost badly and explained that he wasn't doing well because he didn't fully understand their teaching methods and didn't like listening to them talk. A idea popped into Shuji's head. He offered another match seeing how Roja was pissed for losing. If Shuji won, he would tutor him. If Roja won then he takes a high value item from the shop. After 24 hours of rest they had the rematch. Roja lost. After that day Shuji tutored him in what he needed help in. Roja surprisingly listen to Shuji. He also did very well in school from then on and appeared much happier. Before leaving for Beacon his life changed for the worst. After a day in the flower shop Roja wanted to invite Shuji for dinner like always. When he got to his shop it was crowded with cops and in a wreak. From what he heard it was the work of white fang members. This event dealt another blow to Roja's mind and person. Roja was get a sword that was left for him in Shuji's will. A sword that was passed down from generation to generation in his family. After this he would leave for Beacon.
