CHARACTER NAME: (Piper Just) Age: 18 Gender: Female Affiliation: student Race: Human Aura Color: Pastel Green Semblance: Roaring Silence is the title Piper came up with once she’s developed her aura enough to produce the semblance and the name can be stunningly accurate. With the ability to increase or decrease surrounding sound waves, along with this Piper can distort and mimic different sound as well though she hasn’t learned enough to make it an effective ability for combat. The fact that her semblance revolves around means Piper doesn’t have any limits in terms of distance so long as she can register sound is being made. However she is just as susceptible to sound as most and is just as sensitive as most Faunus with high end hearing meaning she is just as prone to damage as any opponent she faces with her own semblance. Weapon: Harmony’s End A modified Jazz bass made much thinner than usual and fitted with a blade upon the bass’s edge allowing it to be wielded like an axe for melee combat. Harmony’s End is also made with a minimalistic design thus meaning the base of the instrument is only that of the neck, strings, and rim of a regular bass though the rim leaves an opening on the left side ending the blade and creating a hooked shape. It's tailpiece used to keep it balanced and off the ground is also made into a sharp spike of metal and can be used for jabbing attacks. Harmony’s End was designed as such with weight in mind as so to help Piper with ease of carrying along in the field. Along with this she uses canisters filled with different dust types that she fires off with soundwaves from her Bass and triggering them the same way. Additional weapons and armor: A large portable speaker that holds wireless capabilities and has backpack straps that she'll only carry during intensive missions. Also a set of earplugs that block out most noise used for when she decides to play at a dangerous high pitch. Appearance: Piper has long blonde hair which she usually lets flow down her back during the day while at night or in battle she'll tie it up in a messy bun so it doesn't get in her way. Piper also has a set of green eyes that she got from her mother. Piper stands at a decent 5feet 6inches. Her outfits usually consist of a black and purple dress disguised as a black shirt, and a purple skirt paired together along with white sneakers. Her combat gear keeps the same idea of light clothing as she is currently unable to move as well as she does know with many armor implements. Replacing her sneakers for black boots, and her dress with a pair of thigh high shorts knee pads, and light metal shoulder plated blouse she keeps herself intact just fine with this. Having such a meek and modest body Piper has always been assumed weak and dainty, however she has a rather toned body for her such a slim mass and though it doesn't show she has powerful legs. Her face however is a heavy tell towards her mood as she isn't good with hiding emotions to begin with but her expressive face matches her sharper than normal teeth but becomes off putting before noticing them with such a soft face. Personality: Piper seems rather shy and closed off upon first meeting others as she grew up rather secluded though after sometime her emotions will seem to flow endlessly once she befriends someone. Cracking her shell isn't hard though, maintaining the friendship proves tasking as she constantly requires reassurance, and support when confronting things on and off the battlefield. Being this open has often caused problems for her before but she refuses to cut off everyone instead she simply implements a vicious vendetta against anyone she feels has betrayed her from letting a secret slip to missing an important event. When such things happen she tends to lash out in anger at the person and hold them accountable long after they've apologized. However she showers close friends with affection and gifts constantly simply for being her friends and hasn't yet learned that physical gifts aren't required to prove loyalty to others or make up for offending anyone as well. History: Born into a highly talented family Piper was brought up in a rather lavish and pampered household while also learning to take up after her parents in the music industry. Taking up not only her bass she plays now but also the piano, violin, guitar, harp, and nearly the entire string instrument family proving time and time again that she was just the performer her parents wanted from their child. With her rising talents in the music industry she was peppered with adoration and compliments from her family and fans alike making her crave more and more affection from a young age. Even as she grew older Piper found herself trying harder and harder to get the adoration she received from her parents when she was younger yet to no real avail as she had become expected to exceed in her musical exploits by now. Soon her father became scarce around her and her mother coming home late if at all saying he was only doing this so Piper could get further ahead in the industry though it became highly apparent to her and her mother that there was more to it than just business. Soon her father was supposed to making his own comeback to the world of music but fell flat once his label was sued for copying music from older musicians and he ended up getting convicted of drug abuse starting his downward spiral of not only his career but also his family's relationship. Piper's mom soon found out her husband was having an affair though it was already suspected and as such led to her family's separation. Taking her mom's side in the divorce Piper refused to forgive her father for hurting their family and blames him for all of the family's loss in stability. Sometime later Piper decided that being a musician wasn't enough to garner the affections of her emotionally drained mother as she soon dove into a depression after the divorce. Taking up a long standing offer of going to a hunter academy and becoming a protector of mankind seemed like just the thing that would make her mother proud again. After her last performance at the age of 14 she announced her resolve to become a hunter to the world though the message was more directed towards her mother. The reaction she got was one of the best standing ovations she's ever received and thus set on her journey to become a hunter for the world of Remnant. Years at signal prove to be rough for her but she stuck to it learning that she wouldn't get any special treatment for just saying she wanted it drove her to learn her semblance and better her skills of combat. Eventually she'd graduate to join those at Beacon with her newfound prowess in her semblance and combat ability.
