Finally coming to a spot that met Piper's requirements for her new pastime. She began to set up shop near the center of a shopping plaza that had decent foot traffic and an elevated platform that offered her a decent view over a few heads that walked by. Taking her time in removing her prized bass Harmony's End from its large carrying case and sat it across her lap before reaching into the same case and pulling out a small cloth to wipe down the entirety of the fingerboard cleaning off any dust that was possibly there. Once she completed that task she took up her stand on top of the platform balancing the Bass on its spiked tail piece and giving it a swift spin to assure it's stable on the tip. Finally looking up Piper took in a deep breath and sighed before she began to pluck the strings in a tune she just happened to remember at this time and using her semblance to increase the volume she was playing at so she could reach those walking a bit away from her as well.
Starting with something rather upbeat and decent passed she began to sing along to her bass though she kept her eyes closed for the song as she had already run out of courage in just starting to play in public like this anyhow. The musician though used to crowds wasn't used to being in such close proximity to her audience as she was used to actual stages and concert halls not something that allowed her to actually see the faces she was playing for this was new. However she continued playing without much falter a stumble here and there that only those who were truly listening to her play would hear, luckily her voice could cover most of her fingers slips. Soon enough her audience slightly grew the number of people stopping to listen wasn't large but they were definitely there the snapping that came from those standing pedestrians proved that and brought a small smile to her face she even managed to peek open an eye to take notice of those surrounding her.
Wrapping up the first song was smooth and nice lowering her semblance she closed the song out with a few last pleasant plucks of her string and took a breath only to hear the sound of clapping from the crowd and was sounded like a lot of coins clattering. "Wait no no I don't need you guys to pay me I was just happy to do it for free!" Piper managed to squeak out towards the people futily as they kept dropping coins in her open case.
This wasn't what she'd expected to happen today.
