Trees and knee-high shrubs rushed past Lucatiel as she sprinted West, hopefully towards the hidden temple. Several thoughts were rushing through her mind all at once, not least of which were thoughts of her potential partner. She had spoken with several potential candidates that could help her rise to the top of her class at Beacon, and she figured odds were good that she could find somebody skilled like herself. The girl easily wove her way through the brush, keeping clear of Grimm trails so she wouldn't be slowed down by unnecessary combat.
She turned a sharp corner around a tree to avoid one such trail, and barely avoided colliding with another candidate, only just missing him by sidestepping. She couldn't help but look at him as she passed, catching a glimpse of his eyes. She skidded to a halt, freezing in place and turned slowly. The boy she had nearly bowled over was a faunus, though he appeared to be a little surprised by her sudden appearance. "Sorry," she quickly said, "My name's Lucatiel. I'm in a bit of a hurry to get this exam done."
The beowolves led Dacre south then slightly west as if they knew exactly where they were leading him. "This is a bit concerning" the wolf thought to himself. At this rate, if he kept following the pack, he was bound to find something related to the task at hand. At least that was the gut feeling he got. He made sure to stay well out of sight of the Grimm lest he unintentionally provoke them to attack. Dealing with the creatures of Grimm was not a problem in the slightest but that wasn't the test. Truth be told, he followed them this far simply because the pack seemed to have a better sense of where to go than he did at this point.
He jumped over a fallen tree taking care to make no noise. In that split second of taking his senses off the beowolves, he lost them. Dacre stopped for a moment, carefully scanning his environment to assure himself that they weren't setting up an ambush. When he realized that he simply lost track of them, he cursed himself and sprinted in the direction they were last seen. The faunus was passing a large tree and nearly ran into another student, almost jumping at the sudden presence of another person. The blue haired girl sidestepped, avoiding him altogether which saved him the embarrassment of actually hitting her. He stopped and turned ready to apologize for nearly crashing into her. Before him stood a girl with blue hair and ice eyes, eyes that locked with his for just a moment. She looked familiar. His apology was caught in his throat but she went ahead and introduced herself. She seemed to notice his surprise as she gave him a rather impatient look. "Oh. Sorry about that. I'm Dacre. It looks like we're partners."
"Wow," Xan said under his breath while taking a sprint through the woods known as Emerald Forest. Everything was still so sudden to this young blooming Hunter-in-Training as Xan even now was processing what just happened. Something that went like 'If you do not take caution. You will die... Find and bring back the Relic from this forest...' Whatever the case Xan had to grab the piece at hand and might have to do it with a partner. The idea of having a partner seemed to disturb the young hunter as Xan decided to simply stayed focused on the task at hand. "This forest is a lot denser than I had imagined." He told himself as his sprint steadily came down into a slightly increased walking pace and looked for a type of clue as to where to honestly go.
Wearing his standard outfit that consisted of jeans, his black plaid shirt and a light-weighted purple coat that had abnormal black tribal designing as a decoration Xan seemed to be somewhat lost as to what his exact location was currently. However, in his sights he was able to see another individual approximately ten meters to his north-west (probably at a 28 degree angle) and a type of black figure another 3 meters from the supposedly male's lower right angle, potentially a blind spot to the individual. "This is bad..." Xan began as he let two blades detach slightly with the wire and thrusted them into two nearby trees to give himself a heavy launch in order to close the gap in an instant. "I may as well help him." Xan told himself as he executed these actions while finishing his train of thought.
Launching himself at approximately 30 mph and at a height of more or less ten feet, Xan let the blades flow naturally to gain an instant advantage on the now identified Beowolf that seemed to be closing in on the identified male individual. Though not much thought or analysis was put into if the male was either a human or a faunus. Landing between the Beowolf and the other hunter Xan immediately disposed of the Grimm at hand with loud slashing sounds on it's upper body and neck areas with frightening precision. Sighing as the work was done, it was very likely that the nearby hunter (approximately now a quarter of a meter in front) Xan had turned around to see what just transpired. He looked back and caught the individual's eyes without meaning to which had struck a nerve in his mind already; not because the other person had bothered Xan rather due to the idea of having to work with a partner this early. "Tch," Xan sucked his teeth involuntarily.
Sighing once more (this time the more Shikamaru way as to say: "what a drag") Xan began to take a faster walking pace. "Let's go." Xan started as he quickly passed the other individual and didn't even look back to say something like 'are you okay' or anything akin to that. "We have a mission to finish." Xan stated to the hunter as the distance between the two began to widen; the blades of Xan's weapon began to retract quickly into their original positions and locked into position once more with the wires. If the other individual saw this he'd probably assume something about Xan immediately, whether it be a good judgment or bad judgment is something that he would have to decide for himself.
Having jogged a bit aways from his landing spot Aries managed to pick up some followers along the way. Ones with Red eyes black fur and ugly snarling faces. The ram was pretty quick on his feet but he was much more wanting of confrontation with the creatures of Grimm than anyone should. After reaching a clearing in the forest Aries dug his heels into the ground attempting to come to a halt and with his stop the pack of Beowolves made their first attack. The pack leader lunged at Aries while swiping its claws towards the students throat only to catch the flat end of the students hover board and be sent tumbling back into the brush. "That all you got buddy if so things'll be easier than I thought." Aries gloated as he slid the board behind his back and took up his boxing stance preparing for the next attack. "Come on then who wants this can of whoop ass next?"
With a collective howl, the pack of four now began rushing towards Aries with bared teeth and seemingly sharper claws. The first to reach within his range attempted to shred his abdomen into pieces but in turn ended up with the sole of a shoe into its face followed by the same foot stomping down onto its jaw with a sharp crack. The next Grimm jabbed it's claw forward only to be dodged and have its arm lead its body over the shoulder of his prey and slammed into the ground back first with its arm still being held above him which soon received a kick that broke the bone from the point of its elbow and ended up being out for the count. the final standing Grimm reared up on its hind legs and was soon partially blocked from his view and crumpled behind another student. "Yo I definitely had that under control." Aries spoke only to seemingly be ignored and left behind already.
"Wow alright so I guess I get to deal with this guy cool." The ram spouted to himself sarcastically before shoving his hands in his pockets and picking up his pace to follow suit. You wanna at least drop a name before you start barking orders next time that'd be great." Aries spoke up again voicing his annoyance with a subtle rumble in his throat.

"Nice to meet you, Dacre," Lucatiel said, turning westward and starting off at a jog. The knee-high undergrowth proved to be little obstacle for the two skilled hunters-to-be, and things were starting off nicely. The blue-haired girl glanced behind herself momentarily to ensure that Dacre wasn't falling behind, and when she faced forward again she barely caught a flash of black and white. The girl dropped immediately, taking cover behind a rather large tree. She silently waved at Dacre to do the same, peeking out to confirm what she thought she'd seen.
Amidst the trees of the Emerald Forest ahead of her stood a pair of Plains Racers, who were busy pacing towards their current position, probably because they had heard Lucatiel and Dacre running. The two raptor-like Grimm were probably trying to discover the source of the noise, and it appeared as though they were trying to flank either side of the tree. It wasn't surprising, seeing as Plains Racers tended to be among the most intelligent creatures of Grimm. Lucatiel slowly unhooked Check Mate from her belt, knowing they were probably in for an inescapable fight. For her own sake, she hoped her new partner fought as good as he looked.
"I don't see a way out of this," she whispered as quietly as she could manage, "I say we hit them hard and fast on the count of three." The girl's heart raced as adrenaline was dumped into her system at the anticipation of open combat. "One," her muscles contracted in preperation to spring. "Two," she became aware of every individual leaf in the breeze as the world came into sharp focus from her mind preparing for the next second to come. "Three!" The girl leapt out from the right side of her cover, immediately snapping the blade of her Puzzling Curiousity free, and it dangled openly as a segmented chain. The Plains Racer she stared down snarled in surprise, its reptilian maw opening in a move of intimidation.
Lucatiel swung the hilt of her whip-sword above her head, bringing the main portion of the blade to hip-height. She let the momentum carry the tip behind her, then quickly stepped into an attack, flicking her wrist forward and lashing out with it. The tip scored the monster's left shoulder deeply, causing it to hiss in pain and anger. As a counter attack, it threw itself into the air at her, lower talons pointed right at her chest. The girl deftly sidestepped, thrusting the short blade of Check Mate into the Grimm's ribs as it landed next to her, then she backstepped hard to create distance. She swung her weapon above her head again, this time much quicker and in rapid succession, creating a cocoon of steel around her body so the Grimm couldn't approach her. The girl used her semblance to grab hold of the tip of the blade, then aimed it squarely for the Racer's neck. A quick step-in and a thrust got the job done, and the Scaly Grimm fell to the ground lifeless, beginning to dissolve immediately. After retrieving her blade, she ran to where she had seen the other Racer to make sure Dacre was doing okay.
Things were going smoothly so far. Both Dacre and Lucatiel were avoiding any unnecessary confrontation with Grimm and easily maneuvering the increasingly thick undergrowth of the Emerald Forest. "This isn't much of a test.", Dacre thought to himself as they raced westward, "At this rate we'll have the relic and return to the cliff in no time." The thought of completing this exam quickly was a wonderful thought especially since the prospect also implied being jumped straight to the top of the class. The trees around them seemed to warp ominously as they continued forward, snapping Dacre out of his thoughts.
Lucatiel had stopped and hidden behind a nearby tree and motioned for him to do the same. The wolf moved off to the side quickly concealing himself as well. It seemed that his new partner spotted a rather dangerous species of Grimm and was able to get them hidden before the Plains Racers were too close. The Grimm must have been attracted to the noise of them sprinting through foliage because they were slowly sweeping the forest closing in on the hunters' positions. Lucatiel was suggesting to attack them while they are still unaware of their location and Dacre agreed, understanding that this was not something they could just walk away from. He slid his Colmillo de Luna from his back and fitted it to his arm making sure he had enough dust for the encounter, and nodded to his new partner.
At the sound of his partner shouting "3", he sprang into action, dashing to the left. The Plains Racer nearest to him was distracted by Lucatiel attacking his comrade which gave Dacre the perfect opportunity to swing around it's back and catch him off guard. The faunus jumped and grabbed ahold of a tree branch and swung his legs around the Grimm's neck and twisted, bringing the beast to the floor. Dacre rolled and stood up ready for a jumping attack from the creature but it just charged at him upon regaining it's footing. He parried the swipe of the claws and slid around slashing at the scaly legs of the charging monster. It's knee buckled and it fell again. That seemed to upset it because it suddenly increased it's movement speed. Dacre had a hard time keeping up with the claws glancing off his Comillo de Luna and the Grimm jumping around him. He used his semblance to continue moving around himself making sure that he lured the Plains Racer further from its partner.
The white haired boy slid under a bush and the creature chased him. At this moment, Dacre used some of the dust in his shield and froze the ground just as the Grimm arrived to his location. Now the tables have turned. Dacre immediately started skating in circles around his prey, slashing and hitting at the ribs face and legs as he did so. The Plains Racer made one final attempt of clawing at the faunus' face before slipping on the ice on the floor, the weight of its various wounds holding it down. As the scaly beast made several sad attempts of standing up to continue the fight, Dacre moved towards it and planted the spikes on his weapon into its skull. The fidgeting stopped and the body lay still. Without a second thought, he raced towards the location he last saw Lucatiel hoping she was more than just looking the part of a hunter.
The first words that the now identified Faunus said meant little to nothing in Xan's mind at the given moment being that he was focused on the task at hand: collecting the relics and bringing them back. The words Xan said to the male hunter might have been direct in the colder side of the spectrum but it was ironically true; there was a mission at hand and it these two individuals would have to work together to get the job done. Xan disliked the idea of working with somebody, but knew that it had to be done during the exam and was paired up with somebody who might be the brighter side of Xan's personality. "You wanna at least drop a name before you start barking orders next time that'd be great" the Faunus said to Xan as he heard the footsteps of the individual catching up.
Xan smirked, and made a pretty blunt comment back to the Faunus. "They aren't orders." He began with a cold voice, one that can be interpreted as if the individual didn't care what the other person did to them at that moment. "I'm reminding you about the task at hand." Continuing with the tone being a little more serious as Xan kept speaking, "You want my name? Earn it by earning my respect, boy." Those last words that Xan stated to the Faunus seemed to be more of a challenge phrase than an advisement. Xan wanted to test the other hunter's mental capacity and psychological reaction to the blunt side of him. One last comment was made before sealing the final phase of the indirect test Xan was giving the Faunus Hunter: "If you can't handle direct reminders, then you shouldn't be here in the first place." With Xan's back turned against the other Hunter, the smirk only became more evident if the Faunus could actually see his face.
If the Faunus reacted rashly and attacked Xan, it would mean that he would only keep pressing his buttons until the Faunus learned to control his feral instincts. If the Faunus reacted calmly and maybe made a conversation out this blunt remake, then Xan would know that this person can be a worthy ally and make the initiative to tell him his name. "Now... what will you do?" Xan thought to himself as his pace didn't falter one bit while heading in the same direction.
"Did you really just say I have to earn your name?" Aries had to stop walking for a second to ensure he was hearing what the white haired kid was saying. Honestly, all it did was serve to piss Aries off even more. Soon after the Ram's new partner continued his short speech having said something along the lines of "Blah blah blah direct reminder. Blah blah" By this point Aries couldn't be bothered with trying to befriend someone being this much of a prick on their first impression and decided that he'd simply have to ignore his rude behavior and continue to maintain his calm. "Wow. So ok, I didn't think anyone could be so full of themselves. Maybe Beacon has classes for peeps like you who need to better their manners." Aries shot back picking up his pace once more. With his retaliation however Aries felt he'd lost footing on the moral high ground but he'd be damned if he admitted doing anything of the sort. for now, he'd just try and keep his mouth shut.
With that out of the way, they soon found what seemed to be the ruins in which the relics rested. Sitting in a wide open field the ruins look as they're called. Toppled over pillars with spotted moss and cracks covering large portions of the structure."Guess this is it then." Aries said slightly less enthusiastic than he actually felt about it. having a quick jog over towards the ruins he found on top of the pedestals were keys and locks of seemingly different metals. Picking up a golden key Aries tossed it up in his hand testing the weight of it before slipping it into his pants pocket. "Well relic retrieved with relative ease lets get back so we don't have to deal with each other for any longer than necessary." The ram spoke up with a slightly smug grin on his face that was soon wiped off as he heard a light hissing. Turning his head so that he could search for the source of the noise it wasn't long before he found a large King Taitiju rearing up with a dark head preparing to strike at the faunus. "Shit." The ram hissed out under his breath before flaring his aura and taking a leap from off the ruins raised platform down to the grassy field just before the maw of the giant Grimm snapped shut around his body.
"Guess this won't be a stroll in the park after all heheh." The Ram chuckled to himself as he rolled back onto his feets and took up his combat stance for the second time today.

Lucatiel saw that the faunus had slain the other Plains Racer, so she gave her sword a flick to snap the pieces back together. "Well, that was a nice little diversion, but we should keep moving," she said, starting off towards the West again. Dacre's fighting ability with only a shield was impressive, and she wondered if his semblance had anything to do with it. Either way it was an unorthodox fighting style, but most people probably weren't used to seeing a whip-sword, so she supposed it was all part of coming to Beacon. Everyone had their own style, some more interesting than others. The girl spotted a clearing ahead, but she saw something that made her stop yet again.
Lucatiel crouched low in the undergrowth to figure out the situation before moving any closer. Another pair of potential students were squaring-off against a king taijitu, yet another particularly dangerous breed of Grimm. Off to their right was a crumbling, ruined temple, which likely held the relics they needed to gain admission to the academy. The blue haired girl turned to Dacre, drawing her sword and dagger again. "We should probably go help them," she said, "let's see if we can get behind the taijitu, maybe we can get the drop on it while it's preoccupied with them." Lucatiel skirted the edge of the clearing, then gave the Grimm a wide berth when she got to it. "Can you cover me with your shield so I can get a clear shot at one of its heads?" the girl asked, nodding towards the gigantic double-ended snake. If they could succesfully attack the monster from their stealthy position, they could potentially take it down rather easily with all four of them fighting at once.
Luckily, the fight with the Plains Racers didn't take much of their time but both hunters were in agreement that they should keep moving. Lucatiel certainly had a strange weapon, a whip-sword, but it was very effective especially with her fighting style. Then again, his own weapon is simplistic to say the least, so it doesn't come as a surprise that there are weapons and students like the blue haired girl. They approached a clearing and crouched behind a bush. There a king taijitu, and a rather large one at that, fighting two other students. Not too far away was the ruins with the relics that they need to recover. He looked to his partner who had already taken out her weapons again and agreed to her plan.
The one thing that Dacre was known for was his resilience, not only mentally but physically. It wasn't easy getting through his defenses when he has something or someone to protect. As Lucatiel got into her position, Dacre moved into his as well. He kneeled in front of his partner with his shield at the ready, eyes glancing around for any unexpected surprises. The thing about a taijitu is keeping track of it's two heads and though the other two were fighting one, Dacre wanted to keep track of the other lurking in the background. "I hope you can line up your shot soon, I have a bad feeling about this.", the wolf whispered in a concerned tone. His ears perked up as a faint rustling caught his attention. He looked and caught several feathers coming from the trees with his shield before they could hit the blue haired girl. "Nevermores" he alerted Lucatiel, "I'll keep them off you, so make sure you make your shot." and with that the wolf moved up the tree to take out the pesky birds trying to snipe his new partner. Once in the treetop he saw the two Nevermores were only in their adolescence, making them easier to dispose of. In one quick fluid motion, Dacre shot an icicle through the head of one then blocked the feathers of the second. He slid forward and punched the bird with a right hook then impaled its head with a strong left uppercut with his shield. With the immediate threat removed, he dropped from the tree without a sound, ready to back up Lucatiel in aiding the two newcomers.
Words from his partner's mouth seemed to give off a very obvious tone of annoyance at Xan's previous comments and was very upset with him at the moment. It was obvious that the Faunus more than likely just wanted to get this journey over with and not have to deal with Xan anymore, but this was very unlikely to happen since they happened to pair up in this forest. Now they may be teammates for the rest of their years in Beacon Academy "Heh, I guess you can say either full of myself, or..." Xan began to say while the Faunus was nearby in hearing range, but then stopped himself. "No, nevermind." The statement was finished though the tone seemed to take a drop in smugness and confidence.
After some time walking together they arrived at the ruins where the relics were finally visible and the Faunus did not seem to hesitate to grab one of those relics. Along the lines of saying: "Well relic retrieved with relative ease lets get back so we don't have to deal with each other for any longer than necessary." Which gave the impression and confirmed that Xan's instincts were correct, the boy wanted to be done with this mission now. Xan went over to observe the relics that were shaped like locks and keys. Seeing that the Faunus had taken one of the relics it wasn't necessary for Xan to go and take one himself; the young hunter was going to open his mouth, but then something went awry where even the Faunus' smile faded away in an instant. "Oh crap" Xan said with a somewhat surprised tone himself as he almost saw his teammate get eaten alive by a King Taitiju and to be honest it actually forced his heart to skip a beat because Xan thought he was going to witness his partners death.
Luckily the Faunus was fortunate enough to react quickly enough to burst out and get into a fighting stance. The comment about a stroll in the park was made and it made Xan chuckle loudly enough for the Faunus to hear. "Xan" he said to the boy. If the boy was going to make a response or comment as to why the name was just stated now of all times Xan would interrupt him during the comment "You wanted to know my name right? It's Xan" he would say with a firm tone, not commanding but enough to indirectly say they need to work together to win this. "I have an idea, but follow my lead okay?" Xan continued to make sure that the Faunus would understand the necessity of this fight.
"Okay then," Xan began as he got into his fighting stance, the articulated blades becoming loose and ready to use while his eyes began to take a cyan blue hue "Let's kill this son of a bitch." Xan stated with a smirk on his face.
With the pair of students preparing to face off against the large Grimm his partner felt now of all times would be best to share with Aries his name. Though at the current time the ram couldn't find himself caring maybe even if they weren't facing off against one of a more dangerous Grimm he wouldn't care, but with Xan saying follow his lead made Aries' playful smile drop back into an aggravated grimace just before he decided to clarify something with his partner. "Look I'm gonna handle this and I really don't give a crap if you have a plan or not. All I'm going to ask is that you don't get yourself hurt or get in my way. Aries spoke in a low voice but made sure he could be heard. He didn't take his eyes off the swaying Taijitu head being currently presented, nor did he pick back up a playful smirk he was actually more than annoyed at this point. He was angry and with that, he'd no longer focus on the conversation but simply where the other end of this Grimm was lurking.
With the King Taijitu's white head rearing back for another strike Aries had no more time to search and instead decided now would be the time to strike back rather than stay on the defensive side of this battle. The Grimm exploded forward with its jaw already unhinged and angled sideways in its attempt to snap it shut around both of the students within the same bite. The attack being straight forward as it was allowed Aries to roll further out of the Grimm's reach to his left. Pulling the hoverboard from his back and onto the ground just under his feet with a well-practiced fluidity. Leaning forwards the dust powered board burst forward with Aries keeping it just close enough to the Taijitu's undercarriage to cover his right side from any further attacks until his double headed friend finally showed the black, second head attempting to coil in its white counterpart from that last attack. With this being revealed, Aries saw his target and short hopped with his board on top of the scaly monster's body. Turning the board sideways and just barely keeping it from scraping across the Grimm's surface he began turning to adjust for the curvature of its body.
This directed the Blackhead's attention to him which got the beast to retaliate in kind with whipping its neck and head over the body Aries was closing in on. Priming his bracers the ram popped his board from under him and continued on foot full sprint into the intercepting point of the head and himself. With great timing and his semblance, Aries sprung into the air nearly somersaulting over the head with his bracer's reaching their strongest vacuuming force he focused on the passing head underneath him and slowed it's sweeping motion to a near halt just before landing and reversing it entirely. Pulling the head back towards himself Aries released one fist from its duty of suction and cocked it back just as the blackhead grew closer he met it with a hefty right overhead hook sending it heavily into the ground with a loud thud following this. Aries crack his smile once more as the bracer slowed down only to have the body underneath him roll him off and back onto the ground while reorienting itself. "Huh maybe you're as tough as I thought." the ram said with a dry chuckle.

Lucatiel watched as one of the two boys she had seen from her vantage point attacked the taijitu, taking a risky approach at it with an unarmed fighting style. He'd managed to score a clean hit on the black head of the double-ended snake, but what he hadn't seen was the other head preparing to counter-attack, coioling up and ready to strike while he was paying attention to the one head. Without thinking, the blue haired girl leapt out in front what she could now clearly tell was a faunus, thrusting her sword diagonally between the two large fangs, and hooking the left one with the tines of her parrying dagger. She knew she couldn't stop that much momentum, but she could redirect it, and redirect it she did. Using the leverage the position her sword granted her and pushing hard with her dagger, she managed to parry the entire attack, sending the head straight down to eat nothing but dirt. It wasn't like her to play hero, but if she hadn't done something the boy would have been hit, and it would most likely have been quite the injury.
"Mind if I cut in?" The girl asked, affecting an air of confidence even though she had left her partner behind. She would have to appologize to him later, but now wasn't the time. The twin heads of the taijitu began circling the pair, and Lucatiel backstepped from the white head she had parried, only to find herself back-to-back with the faunus. "I'm Lucatiel, by the way," she said briefly. If the stranger for some reason needed to get her attention, it wouldn't be wise for him not to know what to say. Besides, even though she was in the middle of a battle, her ettiquite skills were a habit that would someday die hard. She adopted a defensive stance, ready to parry the next strike if it came, hoping that Dacre would help her find a way out of the situation she'd naively gottend herself into.
As Dacre landed on the ground after defeating the Nevermores, he quickly noticed that his partner wasn't around anymore. He looked around and noticed her running towards the Taijitu to help the orange haired boy who found himself somehow surrounded by both heads. She managed to parry one of the blows to save the boy but now she was in a similar situation. The wolf sighed, "I guess she never took the shot." He started running towards the two students now completely encircled by the massive Grimm but noticed the white head make several feints in order to distract from the other head that was rearing back for an attack. At that, he activated his semblance and rapidly skated towards his partner and the stranger. He looked around looking for the second stranger unable to locate him, but he couldn't focus on that right now, though, he only hoped that the other guy was planning something too. What Dacre needed to do right now is get to Lucatiel as soon as possible.
Dacre reached into his vest pocket and pulled out a new dust cartridge clicking it into the chamber on his shield. He threw down an ice wall ramping around the back of the white head of the beast, jumped over it and planted the spikes of his weapon into the top of the black head. This "surprisingly" agitated the Grimm as it started to swing its head around trying to shake the wolf off. Dacre pulled the trigger sending an ice spike into its head just before he got shaken off and thrown into a nearby tree. The impact hurt and it was clear that his attempt to just jump in was virtually useless since the serpent was still alive and hissing angrily. "I think my plan might have backfired." The white haired faunus dropped from his crash site and slid towards the fray once more. This time the black head of the Grimm ignored the two in the middle and charged at him, but this time he had a better idea than before. Dacre stopped moving forward and took the attack head on with his shield, using the momentum to glance its fangs off and plummeting it to the dirt. That was his cue, he jumped on its neck and quickly encased the head in ice, trying to pin it to the floor. The Grimm was reluctant at first but a few good shots to the head slowed it down enough for the ice to freeze it to the ground. "That should by them some time, I hope. I should go help them out anyways. The armor is too thick to do this alone, we need a plan." Dacre hoped that the little bit he could do to help was enough to get Lucatiel out of the pinch she found herself in.
